Alexandre Bilodeau Wins Gold for Canada

It is Valentine’s Day and Canada’s Alexandre Bilodeau has just won Gold for Canada.  What a great day!  He is only 22 years old and he has accomplished so much.  When he was asked by a reporter how he felt during his Gold medal mogul run, he replied, “He was ready.”  In other words, he has been, planning, preparing and practicing for a very long time.  He has been doing what he needed to do to be the success he is today.  As a Canadian, I am so proud of his accomplishment.  I can only imagine all his hard work, in preparation for the ultimate prize of an Olympic Gold Medal.

Alexandre Bilodeau is a perfect example of someone who was professionally coached in his sport to arrive at his gold medal of today.  Would Alexandre Bilodeau have won today if he was not coached professionally? Could Alexandre Bilodeau have won the gold without the vision and clarity of a professional coach?

I am both proud, happy and thankful, as I write my firt post on my blog, because like the multitudes of Canadians from coast to coast, the sweet taste of Gold Medal success could not have happened to a nicer Canadian olympic athlete, like Alexandre Bilodeau.  He truly is one of Canada’s, and now the world’s best.
